Our agriturismo is a former farmhouse in the middle of Val d'Orcia, recently restored. We are near the Via Francigena, ever since the mediaeval times an important foot-path, part of the pilgrimage from Canterbury, via France, to Rome. Le Rogheta consists of e main building and two annexes, surrounded by olive groves, cornfields and some vineyards.

The farmhouse is made of two apartments (one at the ground floor and one at the upper floor) both with a private entry, the entire building is suited to 6 persons with use of kitchen. The outhouses are a former little house for domestic pigs, at present a lab for making marmalades, and an ex hay barn, base on behalf of the owners when they are expecting the arrival of guests.

All this is surrounded by an own farmyard from which 7 hectares are catalogued as sowing-fields and 3 hectares have been cultivated in olive grove.

Podere Le Rogheta at 1 km from Campiglia d'Orcia, a small village but well provided for basic needs, is situated in a hilly area, just where we are leaving the forests of the Amiata and go into the unique beauty of the enchanting valley in the area south of Siena.

The garden, rich in bushes, plants and fruit trees overlooks an outstanding panorama in which you can distinguish Pienza, a perfect example of a Renaissance town.
